Meet the Editor

By Meghan Miglorie

Feature

My name’s Meghan Miglorie, and I am honored to work as Editor-in- Chief for The Roddey-McMillan Record. I’m currently a junior at Winthrop and have been a staff writer for the RMR for two years. I’m pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in English with a double minor in Creative Writing and International & Global Studies.

Last semester, I worked as a news intern for York County’s Post & Courier and currently host a radio show with Winthrop Eagle Air, MegxMixRadio. My long-term goal is to pursue a career in travel journalism. I want to share stories of culture and music, bring social issues to light, and share the joys of life.

I love Winthrop and all of the opportunities it has provided to me. Working with student publications has shown me how dedicated our student body is to advocating for equal rights and representation. I hope to get students involved with our publication and shine a light on the diverse cultures on campus and the issues that people face. I am forever grateful for this opportunity and I hope to inspire my staff and others to make a difference and make their voices heard!
